Our finished bathroom!

So we actually mananged to finish our bathroom the day before the baby was born! Phew! That was a close one! Aaron actually left the hospital the day after she was born to go home and finish putting the doorknobs on!

We are so happy with how it turned out!! Our shower could probably fit 12 people standing side by side- there should be a shower party later this month so watch the mail for invites! :) I love having two shower heads- so fun!


This vanity is on the left side of the bathtub as you walk in! This is the first time in my life I have had a place to sit and get ready without sitting on the counter! Yay!

And the best part?! Kaiya fits in the sink perfect for baths!

This is Aaron's old college helmet. I know one day we will look at these and be amazed that she ever fit in a helmet!

Look what we made!!

Well, our due date came and went and nothing happened...as did the next 8 days. Sptember 2nd we finally gave in and checked into the hospital to be induced. 21 hours of Pitocin induced labor went suprisingly well and in the end we got THIS!! Kaiya Jolyn Boone- 8lbs 4oz, 20in born September 3, 5:33pm. We couldn't be more excited! She is absolutely wonderful!

2 years of happiness!!

As of August 18th Aaron and I have officially been married for two wonderful years! In that short amount of time we have been to Peru and stood on the top of Machu Picchu, traveled to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, cruised the Bahamas, stood at the southern most point in the USA in the Florida Keys, been to Vegas and California numerous times, visited Aaron's old stomping grounds in Kentucky and went to Washington DC for my first time, went to Oregon to visit family, been to an NFL game, went on an amazing backpacking river excursion with my dad, remodeled our house, grew a baby, bought two cars, got jobs together, cheered Aaron on through a season with the Blaze, spent a month in Dallas, drove through 16 states together, built a home and sold it, spent lots of weekends camping and hiking through Utah's national parks, and found tons of other activities to entertain us on a daily basis! What a great two years!

As everyone keeps telling us- our life is about to change drastically, so to celebrate this anniversary we went out to dinner and spent the night in Park City, and then woke up bright and early to tour Park City from a whole new perspective- a hot air balloon ride!

The weather was perfect, the view was amazing and the pilot didn't even notice I was 40 weeks pregnant! Phew! (Apparently there are rules against pregnant flying women...)

What a great day! It is crazy to think that we will never again spend an anniversary alone without finding a babysitter or wondering where our kids are! We are about to start a whole new world of adventure and we couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to see what the next 2 years (or 50) have in store for us!

California baby shower

My mom threw me a baby shower while we were in Cali on the 23rd! I am sure it was a lot of work and it turned out wonderful! She has a tendancy to do everything really BIG so of course there was a ton of food, cute decorations and an adorable cake! It was so fun to get together with friends and family that I hadn't seen in a long time! Thanks MOM!!!!

Thank goodness I wasn't as big as I thought I was!

Aaron came over afterwards and checked out all of our awesome new baby stuff! I think the hooded towel looks good on him, don't you?

And no trip is complete without a picture with Cameron. He is in Mexico for 9 more months but at least he still gets to be in pictures!

36 weeks...aka 9 mo pregnant!!

So our full itinerary for our trip to Cali was as follows- Drive to Roseville on Wednesday. Spent Thursday with my mom and sisters. They threw me a baby shower that night! Friday morning we went to Marissa's wedding in Tahoe, Friday night we drove to our cabin. Saturday was full of cabin adventures as was half of Sunday. Then it was a fun 10 hour drive home! Whew! What a trip! My mom took these while I was at her house. They are weird but now I don't want to hear anyone say that I haven't posted enough prego pics! Happy??

I can't flex my stomach anymore!! This is the best I can do- it looks like a pot belly alien...oh well.

Wedding and a weekend at the cabin!

July 24th, 2009 Marissa formerly known as Maggio and Joshua Whitney joined our team! The wedding was in Tahoe which gave Aaron and I an excuse to get one last road trip in before the baby! In case you can't find me in the pic to the left- I am the big pregnant one in the front!! Note to self- try not to be nine months pregnant during significant events ever again! Ris looked beautiful and the weather was perfect! What a great day!

On our way back to Utah we took a detour to our cabin for the rest of the weekend! These pics are at Enchanted falls...in the middle of Desolation Wilderness. Good name for a place to hike at 9 mo prego right? :) The babe loved it though!

Calli, Maya and my dad joined us on Saturday night ...Maya wasn't feeling so hot but we are glad she came! We had a fire, made smores, bbq'd, etc...

...and survived a canoe expedition!! We were pretty impressed with ourselves for not sinking/tipping it with so many of us in it! This trip was a perfect last get away! Now, back to the real world- less than 4 weeks to go! Wahoo!

My birthday and 34 weeks prego!

Aaron knows me so well and made my birthday this year so wonderful!!! For starters, we skipped work. That makes any day better!
THEN he suprised me with my favorite breakfast when I returned from a quick errand.
THEN he told me our friend wanted to take her sons out wakeboarding and invited us to go. What he DIDN'T tell me was that he had already called my girlfriends and arranged for them to join us as well! They had made cupcakes and everything!! What a wonderful day of wakeboarding, surfing (this is a safer prego option!) sun, friends, and an adorable husband!
THEN he took me to dinner! Does it get any better? I think not.

The good news is we have come a long way...Aaron is amazing and has mastered the art of demolition, electrical wiring, framing and plumbing (so far nothing has leaked though he is not as confident in this category as the rest! Either way he is incredible!)

These are the most updated pics! Monday our beautiful pink tub will be refinished white! The pink blinds will need to be replaced too....We already have working, non-pink sinks and a toilet and love them!
And then?! All we need is glass for the shower!...and the shower and tub trims attached...and lights installed...and doors...and mirrors...but that's it! Almost done!! We are so excited!
